Bacon, Mothers, and Golems

~This is the third installment of the 'It's all a dream...' series. Please tell me what you think!~

You stare at the creature with its pink and blue gems. “Am I dreaming?” You ask yourself. The golem shakes its head, letting the essence of nature fill your room.

“Are you real?” The golem nods with a vigor that makes you happy. You shout for joy, jumping up and down with excitement. Your imagination is real! You fling open the door of your room and race down the creaky stairs to the kitchen.

Your mother stands there flipping bacon. She looks at you in surprise, her eyebrows raising. “You made the house shake, dear. Why are you up so early?”

You snatch a piece of bacon. “Mother, my dreams came true!”

She raises her eyebrows even higher. “Dear, what do you mean? And please don’t eat any more bacon before breakfast.”

You smile guilty. “I have a pet golem, Mother.”

“Nonsense, dear. Golems aren’t real.” She turns away from the stove-and screams. You turn to the doorway.

Your golem stands there, half of your family dog in its fist.

~Eek! What happened to the other half of your dog? Tell me in the comments!~
